A. For Freelancers: How to Join Our Curated Network
Becoming a Freelancer Hub professional is a straightforward process designed to ensure quality. We currently do not offer a self-signup option for freelancers. To maintain the highest standard, all applicants must be vetted manually by our team.
Submit the Application Form:
Freelancers cannot create an account directly on the website.
To apply, you must fill out and submit our official Freelancer Application Form.
This form requires your basic contact information (Name, Email, Country, Phone Number), primary skill category, and professional details.
Profile Submission & Vetting:
After the initial form submission, our onboarding team will contact you to complete your full profile. This includes:
A professional headshot.
A detailed CV or Resume.
Portfolio samples (links or files).
A list of your core competencies and skills.
Your standard rate card or pricing structure.
Our team will review your submission, which includes:
ID Verification to ensure authenticity.
Portfolio Review to assess the quality of your work.
Skill Assessment for certain technical categories.
The vetting process typically takes 2-3 business days after all documents are received.
Profile Activation:
Once approved, our team will manually activate your profile, making it searchable for clients.
You will then receive your official login credentials to access your dashboard.
B. For Clients: How to Start Hiring
We do not offer a public client registration form. This ensures that all freelancer interactions are with serious, vetted businesses.
Browse Freelancers: You do not need an account to browse our directory of vetted freelancers. Use the category filters and search bar to find talent.
Contact Us to Hire: To contact a freelancer, you must first contact our support team via WhatsApp, Telegram, or email. Our team will quickly guide you through the simple client onboarding process, verify your business details, and grant you access to message freelancers or post projects.
2. Core Platform Features
A. The Freelancer Profile
Your profile is your storefront. A complete profile includes:
Professional Title & Overview: A compelling headline and summary of your services.
Skills & Endorsements: List your top skills. Client endorsements will appear here.
Portfolio Section: Showcase your best work with images, descriptions, and links.
Pricing Packages: Clearly define your service packages (e.g., Basic, Standard, Premium).
Verification Badges: These badges (e.g., "ID Verified," "Skill Tested") build trust with clients.
B. The Project Workspace
Once a client hires you or you accept a project, a dedicated Workspace is created. This includes:
Secure Messaging: Communicate with your client directly within the platform.
File Sharing: Share documents, designs, and other project files securely.
Milestone Management: Break the project into phases with specific deliverables and payments.
Feedback & Rating System: Upon project completion, both parties can leave a public review and rating.
3. Financial Terms & Billing
A. For Freelancers:
Membership Fee: A low, annual fee of $20 is required to maintain an active profile. This grants you access to the platform and clients for a full year.
Earnings: You keep 100% of the earnings from your projects. Freelancer Hub does not take any commission on your work.
Invoicing: Use our built-in invoice generation tool to create and send professional invoices to your clients directly through the platform.
B. For Clients:
Platform Fee: Freelancer Hub charges clients zero fees. You only pay the freelancer for their work.
Payment Methods: Clients pay freelancers directly using mutually agreed-upon methods (e.g., Bank Transfer, PayPal, etc.). We recommend using secure methods that offer some level of purchase protection.
Dispute Assistance: In case of a disagreement, our support team can mediate based on the milestones and communication logs in the Project Workspace.
4. Best Practices & Policies
A. For a Successful Profile (Freelancers):
Be Specific: Instead of "Designer," use "Brand Identity Designer for Tech Startups."
Show, Don't Tell: Use your portfolio to demonstrate your skills with case studies.
Set Clear Expectations: Your pricing and package descriptions should be detailed to avoid scope creep.
Be Responsive: Quick response times to client inquiries improve your ranking in search results.
B. For Effective Hiring (Clients):
Write a Clear Brief: Provide as much detail as possible in your project description—goals, budget, timeline, and requirements.
Review Portfolios: Look for freelancers whose past work aligns with your vision.
Start Small: For a new freelancer, consider a small paid trial project to assess the working relationship.
Communicate Clearly: Use the Project Workspace for all communication to maintain a record.
5. Account Management
Profile Updates: Freelancers cannot edit their own profiles directly after the initial vetting. To request an update (new portfolio piece, skill, rate change), contact support. We provide:
Quarterly reminders for a profile refresh.
Emergency update processing within 24 hours.
Deactivating Your Account: You can request to deactivate your account at any time by contacting customer support.
6. Safety & Security
Verification: Every freelancer is rigorously vetted to protect our community.
Secure Communication: All messages and file transfers within the platform are encrypted.
Report an Issue: If you encounter a user behaving inappropriately or suspect fraudulent activity, report them immediately using the "Report" button on their profile or via our support channels.
